I Shall Wear a Crown
Watch ye, therefore, you know not the day.
When the Lord shall call your soul away
If you labor, striving for the right. You shall wear a golden crown
I shall wear a crown, when the trumpet sound
I shall wear a crown, Oh I shall wear a golden crown.
Be not like the foolish virgins then. For he’s coming, and you know not when
Have your lamps all trimmed and burning bright
And you shall wear a golden crown
Though the host of hell your soul assail Naught of these against your soul prevail
Never faint nor lay your armour down And you shall wear a golden crown
